From Career to Calling
After spending 19 years each at The Coca-Cola Company, co-founders Peter and Venky quit their corporate careers to pursue a calling in sustainability. They did that not just because of ideology, but also opportunity. They realized that many large companies make bold sustainability commitments but find it hard to convert intent into action. One key issue is a lack of visibility of the right solutions and innovations. On the other hand, a new breed of ecopreneurs is creating a groundswell of innovations to address the world’s environmental problems. However, these solutions often struggle to be commercialized because they lack access to the scale and resources of big corporations. To solve this collaboration asymmetry, Peter and Venky created Ubuntoo, the Environmental Solutions Platform.
