Hi Flavie, you have flagged a valid concern, but based on our extensive research of this space, we do not see a huge risk of this happening. The main reason is that the value capture from closed loop mechanical recycling will always generate higher value for all players in the chain as compared to chemical recycling. Many consumer product companies are making commitments to use post consumer recycled content in their packaging, which will drive up demand for source separated waste streams around the world. Recyclers will be able to convert this back into packaging grade material even at a price premium to virgin plastic. The growth of chemical recycling technology will address the unrecyclable waste streams that are unviable for mechanical recycling. We see it as a complement to mechanical recycling rather than a competitor.
