A Scientometric Analysis and Visualization of Global Green Building Research
This paper presents the first comprehensive review of global green building research (GGBR) using a scientometric approach. The main objective of this study is to systematically analyze and visualize the current state of GGBR. By employing a quantitative method called science mapping, the researchers analyzed 6,867 bibliographic records obtained from Scopus.
The findings of this research shed light on various aspects of GGBR, such as core research areas, journals, institutions, and countries, and how they are interconnected within the existing literature on green building (GB). The study also reveals gaps and deficiencies in the current GGBR, highlighting potential areas for future research. The implications of this research extend to journal editors, practitioners, policymakers, researchers, and research institutions, including universities. It provides these stakeholders with valuable insights for contributing to the development and accumulation of knowledge in the field of GB while offering a comprehensive understanding of the current trends and status of GGBR.
