Accelerating Circular Supply Chains For Plastics and Packaging

In April 2019, a groundbreaking report titled "Accelerating Circular Supply Chains for Plastics: A Landscape of Transformational Technologies that Stop Plastic Waste, Keep Materials in Play and Grow Markets" was released. This report outlined the scope and range of technologies that have the potential to drive the conversion of post-consumer plastics into raw materials for new products and various applications.

The report is a component of Closed Loop Partners' initiative, "Advancing Circular Systems for Plastics & Packaging," which aims to expedite the development of solutions that establish circular systems for plastics. Building upon the research findings, the next phase of work will involve creating an Investor and Partnership Roadmap. This roadmap will provide clarity on the diverse technologies available, as well as their economic, environmental, and human health impacts. Additionally, it will highlight the incentives and policies necessary to support and ensure the optimal integration of this sector within the circular economy.
