From Linear to Circular Webinar
The circular economy offers a different way forward for the economy, society, and the environment. Today, many businesses operate in a linear way — they take resources from the ground to make products, which we use and then throw away. But this way of doing things is no longer working for businesses, people, or the environment. Underpinned by a transition to renewable energy sources, the circular economy is built on three principles — design out waste and pollution, keep products and materials in use, and regenerate natural systems.
From Linear to Circular: Open to All, this program aims to introduce you to the circular economy. It includes ten webinars led by the Foundation’s experts, featuring guest speakers, question and answer sessions, and interactive challenges.
Join The Ellen MacArthur Foundation's team once a week to find out more about the circular economy. Topics include circular design, business models, plastics, fashion, cities, and food, and look at case studies. You will also be given a small piece of homework each week and have the opportunity to engage with other participants in the community space.
Existing knowledge of the circular economy would be useful, so please take a look at the learning hub on the foundation's website.
The program starts on Wednesday, 15th April, and the online webinars will be broadcast live at 4pm (eastern time) each Wednesday. For those who can't make the live event, the webinars will be recorded and posted on their social media channels.
