Recycling of Plastics in Food Packaging
The issue of plastic pollution is becoming increasingly pressing, as biodegradable plastics are contaminating soil and water sources, while traditional plastics are hard to sort and recycle. Banning plastic bags is proving to be a futile solution as they can be compacted to take up less space in landfills. However, this report proposes that waste management is the key to tackling the problem, and suggests using shredded plastic in road construction as a potential solution.
