The Collection of Waste Portable Batteries in Europe in View of the Achievability of the Collection Targets Set by Batteries Directive 2006/66/EC

According to the European Battery Association, "This report provides an update on the progress of the European Portable Battery Association's (EPBA) battery collection rate initiatives. The report includes a summary of the progress made, the challenges faced, and the key outcomes. The report also provides an overview of the development of the EPBA's battery collection rate and the EPBA's plans to continue to increase the rate of battery collection. The EPBA is aiming to reach a collection rate of 45% by 2022 and 65% by 2025. Additionally, the report outlines the EPBA's plans to improve communication and collaboration between stakeholders in order to reach the collection rate targets."
